“Thinking Things Through is the most valuable tool for leadership effectiveness”.
Yet, it’s the first thing out of the window, or calendar, because many leaders under pressure believe they don’t have the time for it.
However, the downside is, that if you keep doing what you are doing, nothing changes. The feeling of being overstretched doesn’t change, the draining working relationship with one of your peers, the frustration of not getting things done fast enough and direct reports not stepping up and taking ownership doesn’t change. The list goes on and on.
